We hope you enjoy your stay but please leave the pitch as you found it. Rubbish must be placed in the designated bins to minimise public health risks. BBQS and firepits are allowed but must be attended, raised off of the ground and kept under control at all times. Only burn charcoal or wood. The wood must NOT be sourced from the trees, hedgerows or fence posts on-site or surrounding areas. If this occurs, you will be told to leave. Do not burn paper or cardboard or other materials likely to give rise to burning embers. Please be mindful of the crops in adjacent fields when lighting fires. If the fire risks are too high, we may prohibit fires and BBQs on part, or all of the site. There is sand on-site in the event that it is needed. Fireworks and Chinese lanterns are NOT permitted to be used on site or adjoining land.
Dogs must be kept under close control at all times when on the campsite. Any mess must be cleaned up immediately. Dogs are not permitted inside facilities and we do not accept dogs listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act or any of the following: Staffordshire Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier, Rottweiler, any Mastiff or Tosa.
Children must be supervised at all times by a responsible adult while on site. Please obey the 10 mph speed limit on site and follow the one way system for entering and exiting the site. At Donkey Down Campsite, when joining or leaving the public road, care must be taken. Donkey Down is gently sloping and therefore you are advised to park across the gradient of the slope (avoid pointing downhill). A bridleway passes by this campsite. You must give way to walkers and riders. Donkey Down Camping at Culliford Tree has a Public Footpath through the western field. Please do not obstruct the path at any time.
We ask that all campers are respectful of others. Any behaviours or incidents that are considered antisocial, from any member in your group will result in you being asked to leave with no refund. Our quiet hours should be respected between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. Hen or stag parties are not permitted.
Late arrivals will have their booking held for 24 hours after which, we may re-let your pitch. Please let us know as soon as possible if you are not able to come as planned and we will do our best to accommodate you. Refunds will not be given in the 7 days before your stay however we do appreciate that circumstances change so please contact us as soon as possible if you have a problem. Inclement weather, late arrivals and early departure will not warrant a refund.
Campervans, Motorhomes, Caravans and twin axle vehicles are not permitted at Donkey Down.
Campervans and Motorhomes are permitted at Culliford Tree.
With a strong environmental ethos, we have composting toilets. This means that chemical toilet or portaloo contents cannot be emptied in to our toilets.
We accept no liability for loss or damage to vehicles or personal property while on site, however caused.
Every effort has been made to ensure you can enjoy your stay safely but please be aware that the site is farmland. You should familiarise yourself with the general risks associated with being out in the countryside. Both campsites have stock fences on their boundaries and around the open access area that contain barbed wire. Please be sure that young people in your group are aware of this hazard. We take no responsibility for accidents, illness or injuries that occur on site, beyond our statutory responsibilities. Footwear must be worn when moving around the site.
At the time of booking, it is down to you to ensure that you enter the correct details about your group. Deliberately withholding information may result in refused entry. For amendments, please contact us.
On arrival, you will be issued with a wrist band which you must wear at all times. We will also need your car registration details on arrival. If no one is available on arrival, please choose your pitch and check in once we return.
There will be a shop on site which will open as often as we are able to. There will be logs, firelighters and tent pegs for sale. Fire pits will be available to hire.
